Draining pool when ground is wet?

Question:Is it true that if you drain an underground swimming pool of all the water while the ground is really wet from rain that the pressure from the soil pushing inward will crack the pool? We need to drain and clean our pool, but it rains every weekend! It's not raining now, but the ground is still saturated from all the rain.

Answers:
Yes....you shouldn't do it until you have at least a week of hot dry weather to dry the ground up.
