How do most people in NSW heat their homes in cold weather?

Question:Do most people let heat run overnight or turn heaters off?

Answers:
I turn my heater down to 60 degrees at night. When it's 2 degrees outside, turning the heater off will kill my parrot and I'd probably freeze. My thermostat is programmable, so it does it automatically for me.
