Do those "ant traps" really work? Has anyone actually ever seen ants coming & going in them?

I think Terro works better. If you put a drop or two on a piece of cardboard where you see them, they will start to feast on it. It really works. A big carpenter ant problem is another story-get an exterminator for them. My husband put diazanon? or some type of pellet around the house and we didn't get ants this year! Yea!!

No, I've never sat and watched an ant trap to know, but I have used the exterior ant stakes inside the house with real good effect. I had ants access my home through a window weep hole. I placed an ant stake (with a couple drips of water in the hole) on the window sill. the next day - no ants. moved stake to next point of ingress, same result. make sure pets and children stay away from stake. good luck.
Typical ant traps have always worked in our house.
