Is it normal for insects to show up in different places after the exterminator comes?

Question:I had an exterminator out yesterday for ants. He treated around my baseboards and he treated around outside and then bombed underneath my house. I am now finding the ants in different spots than they were in before. I know it takes a liitle while for the poison to completly work, but how long will it be before I see complete results? Also, why are they coming in at different places now? Thanks!

Answers:
Yes, they don't want to die, so they go around the poison. and get there food a different way.
