Answers:
you are 19 and got a lifetime to fulfill your dream, go to Uni and finish your journalism course or get a job which you enjoy which will give the the money to finance any property development instead of having to borrow money, this way if anything turns pear shape you don't need to sell or rent out your property to survive

I am giving this advice as your first property you develop will be a very steep learning curve and will without a doubt go over budget

good luck with what ever you decide to do

thanks

Tough call.

Can't you do a uni course on property development or similar.

How about becoming an architect? do a degree in this subject. I bet they earn a fortune.

But even if you still do the journalism course, it is probably better to do a degree than not. Although in my opinion degrees are just pieces of paper and not much as well.
Try to think of it this way Property development is a very risky business, and at 19 you will find it difficult to get the backing, so do your course at uni, and use it to give you a break into development, after all there are lots of programs and articles on developments around, so there will always be a call for people with the skills on journalism, maybe you can tie the two together, and you'll be that bit older that will help you raise the funding that you will require. But if you really don't want to do the journalism course, then don't as you may well find you've wasted those years.Good luck with it all.
