What do you think?
Question:we have two dogs. they track in dirt, and make a mess of the house a lot. my daughter came up with an idea. she said; maybe we could not let the dogs in our rooms, put in hardwood flooring ( that way we dont have to pull out the bulky carpet cleaner when the puppy pees) and that we cannot wear street shoes in the house, that she would put the dirty clothes in the washer and dryer, but i would fold them, and that after we finish eating, she would do the dishes. does my daughter have a good idea?

Sounds like you have a smart girl!
Yeah, but do you need a child or teenager to figure something simple like that out for you? Who's the parent here? Who's the responsible adult? She'll be able to take care of herself.
Yeh, go for it.
You better find out how well hardwood flooring holds up to things like dog pee.
You could also put tile in.
Real hardwood flooring, OK, might not be a bad idea... but that's very expensive. Laminate flooring won't hold up to dog pee.
CERAMIC TILES. Stands up to toenails/claws of dogs/cats and cleans easily. Throw rugs my kitchen sink and door entrance.
LAMINATE FLOORING. We put laminate flooring in living room/dining room. This will not stand up to moisture. Spilled drinks, dog pee, etc... will have to be cleaned NOW to avoid damage. We put a rug runner on main walk way and been happy with that choice. Throw rugs by main sitting areas.
Since the laminate and ceramic flooring, allergy symptoms have diminished in the house.
