Venus flytrap help?

Question:I need to know what wattage the fluroscent bulb shoold be and how many? Also every time I feed it that trap closes and never opens or just turns black, HELP?

Any fluroscent bulb should work fine.

If a head dies every time you feed one, it might be what you are feeding it that causes the death. Only feed it flies or crickets, dead ones are okay as long as they didn't die from a poison. Never feed it hamburger or bologna. Also, only feed it 2 or 3 flies a month.
