Why are web worms so bad in dallas texas?

Question:

Answers:
Man, I hate those things. It's been a very wet spring in Dallas, and hot + wet = web worms. The best cure is in fact prevention; once the little buggers have made their web, it's AWFULLY hard to get to them. Check with a nursery there (Is Bruce Miller Nurseries still around? They're excellent) to find out what to use. Next year, be sure to spray for them in early spring, to prevent the problem.

Good luck.

You can thank the Gypsy Moths for that.
I dunno, but they are. So are the damned ol mosquitos.
