Question:you know how craigslist has a free section, well ive gotten many quality pieces from there for free, heck even new stuff before, where else do people list stuff at? im in NJ, any ideas??? general or local?
Answers:
try freecycle.com it's all over the place and you can get rid of stuff you don't use anymore too!
Sidewalk.
Seriously.
Go to the upperwest side of Manhatten, and just look for furniture on the sidewalk.
You'd be surprised at what you find I bet.
your nearest alley
try the local dump, you would be surprised what people throw away,, or just drive around on garbage day
freecycle.com
Check out the bulletin boards at local markets and laundry mats. Some people just want other people to come and take it off their hands, that saves them the cost of having to haul it to donation stores. The others are right with their answers too, go driving around on the day of trash pick up, you will be surprised how many people are throwing away perfectly good stuff!
www.Freecycle.com is a great one, sign up for the group in your local area. Yahoo has freecycle groups as well. Also driving around prior to garbage day, especially if your area has a special once a month day for the big stuff. You can also place a wanted add if you know what you are looking for through freecycle or craigslist.
