How many inches are in 1- 3/4 yards of material ?
Question:I am sewing a belly dancing veil and it calls for 1 and 3/4 yards of material. I need to know hoa many inches that is ? I know a yard is 3 feet which is 36 inches but I can not figure out 3/4 yard's of material .

Rap4Life has indeed delivered the correct number, but to make you more self sufficient, I will post the way that number is derived. You know that a yard is 36 inches, then you should know that 3/4 of that length is determined by multiplying by the 3 and dividing by the 4, which would give you 108 inches divided by 4 and thus you would find the answer to be 27 inches, added to the 36 inches for the initial yard gives you the answer of 63 inches. Now you know how to do this math and willl not have to ask again, Right!?!
