Is it good or bad to live near the coast?
Question:People always like to live near the coast or beach, so do I.But what about tsunamis? Is it good or bad to live near the beach?
Answers:
No matter WHERE you live- there's an element of risk. You live where you like- & take your chances. That's life.
it is good if you are okay with taking the risk of hurricanes and tsunamis
I guess it depends on where the beach is located. People are drawn to water and mountains, apparently due to the higher concentration of positive ions. They make you feel better. If not they go there on vacations.
San Francisco is great: no tsunamis to worry about, a couple hours drive and you're in the mountains, another hour you've got snow. weather is cool by the beach and sunny and warm 7 miles cross town and 10-15 degrees warmer 30 min. east.
Only an earthquake once in a blue moon
Depends on which coastline you live, California's coast is beautiful, not many tsunamis that I have heard of, but there are other things about the coast that people don't think about. For instance salty air tends to damage painted surfaces, sand also does the same thing.
