Why are bugs drawn to the light?

Question:

Answers:
Insects have simple eyes and can't actually see. They detect movement and light. Insects are drawn to light because in their eyes it's sunlight. In sunlight there is prey. They fly towards the source of light in hopes they will find a meal. Higher orders of insects like honeybees, wasps, and spiders have different eyes and are not drawn to lights.

Its like they need to see where they are going?
its ether the light that gets them all worked up or the heat the light produces I would suggest a bug light the zapper kind even tho you wont put a dent in the bug population
