I want to have a yard sale, but I do not have a yard?
Question:Where can I go to sell my stuff (shoes, clothes, books, etc.)? Do I need a license from the city?
Answers:
Have the sale in a room inside your dwelling, or on the sidewalk. Maybe go to a friend and ask to have it in their garage or yard.
Try finding a place on the website called I Sold It. They are direct sellers on E-Bay and sell your items for you for anything of valued cost of $30-& up. Consignment shops are great and is easy to do. No license for any of this stuff since you are going through somone else. Good luck!
Sell it in your driveway. Improvise!
Just make sale signs. A permit depends on the city ordiances you would have to call the city clerks office. Have fun!
You can sell it in your garage. About the license, that depends on where you live.
have aporch sale..or a living room sale..just make sure nothing is around that isnt clearly marked for the sale...check with your local authorities to see if you need a permit..alot of times you do
You could always just take it to a pawn or resale shop. Books could got to half price books or amazon.com. I dont think you need a license to sell, unless you set up a whole shop, but if you take it to shops for resale, you need proof of ownership or you have to give them some id just in case someone comes in and says you stole it.
In the UK we have "Car Boot Sales" usually on a Sunday, where people go and pay a small sum to parkup and sell their stuff to eager buyers from out of the car boot. See the local papers to see if you have anything like that locally.
