Ant infestation in my living room??
Question:Help! I just went downstairs and in the front window of my living room there's hundreds of ants crawling everywhere! The window in almost covered and they're all up the curtains! What can I do?
I think there's a nest behind the radiator under the window, but i can;t see behind it.
Any ideas what's caused it or how to fix it? thanks

There find a way in to the house follow the trail of ant find out how they are getting in and block the hole probably use some type of flexible filler. sweep the up with a dust pan and brush and throw them out. also they are probably being drawn in buy some sort of food substance maybe crumbs so make sure you have a good clean around.
Seems like they are everywhere (at least where I live) this year. Right now vacuum them up with your hose attachment. You can buy some granules at Home Deport/Lowes that you sprinkle on the ground outside that is supposed to act as a barrier. Just keep vacuuming right now. Empty the bag or cartridge and everything in a tight garbage bag and tie it tightly and put it in the outside trash container. Good luck.
The nest probably wont be in the house, it will probably be outside.

I have a nest outside the house and every year I have the same problem. The ants find a route into the house when it is exceptionally wet or damp outside.
I have tried ant powder etc but the next year they are back again.
Try to find the nest outside and leave a jam jar filled with a heavily sugared water solution close to it.
Keep the solution topped up and you will find that the ants (probably bees and wasps also) will concentrate on this jam jar and not so much on the inside of the house.
Use Talc Powed outside the house by the walls & also in the infested rooms - for some reason it works ( ps the ants go away also smelling quite nice )
wait till about 11 pm and have a very loud and very long party, ants are peaceful creatures and the queen is usually getting on a bit. The little swines will soon pack their bags and sod off!
you can buy stuff that you put into where they are coming in. also there are plug-ins that deter all crawling rodents and insects. you just plug them into a socket and they dont smell or make any noise. the insects can hear the noise though. not harmfull to pets.
I had the same problem last year until i bought some ant powder. I sprinkled it on all the areas the ants went and i havent had any since. The powder works by getting stuck to the ant then it carries it back to the nest and it poisons the queen then al the ants die off. You can get it from any hardware store or wilkos.
there is nothing worse,do they have wings?the winged ones make my skin crawl.
You can get a spray that is good,it kills them.
