With great difficulty! You have to dig out the roots otherwise they will grow again and again and they are a pain to get rid of!

You can dig it up - but it always come back! The best way is to put canes near the plants and let it grow up the cane. When it is fairly big, get some systemic herbicide and spray. You need some leaves to absorb this into the whole plant. Don't do it if rain is forecast.
You're going to dig deep and uproot,those weeds spread like wildfire.
