How do you get rid of flies?

Question:

Answers:
Get rid of what is attracting them to a specific site by cleaning up any food or garbage. Even small amounts of virtually invisible grease on a stove top will attract a fly. Put out sticky fly paper, use an insecticide spray and follow up with a swatter for individual flies. Watch particularly around brightly lit windows as flies are attracted to these areas, especially if the window is open and flies can smell or sense the outdoors through the screen.

A really neat way to locate and kill flies in your house is to wait until dark, then turn off all the lights in the house and watch TV. Flies will assume the lighted TV screen is a window - a way out - and will congregate there. They're easy to see and they come to you. Swat 'em. Have paper towels and Windex handy for screen clean up.

Another way is to wait until dark then bring an empty garbage can in from outside. Preferably one that has an aroma flies like. Turn off all household lights and shine a flashlight into the garbage can. Swat the flies as they arrive for a fly picnic.

can of raid and afly swatter generally is an effective way to combat a fly attack.
Just get a good, large fly swatter and go to town with it. If your screens are poor, get new ones and caulk around the edges if necessary. Don't spray a lot of chemicals in your own environment, as they are extremely toxic, and living with a few flies is better than poisoning yourself with bug spray.
