Kitchen scissors?

I suggest one that has a serrated edge on one part of the scissor.
I have always purchased the cheap ones but next pair I get will have a good serrated edge on them.
i use cheap ones BUT you do want 2 pairs for the kitchen only 1 for meats and one for veggies ect.
If you go to a kitchen store, they can recommend many different kinds of scissors. There are ones for cutting fat off poultry, etc. But I have found that a pair of ordinary scissors in the kitchen is invaluable. I use them for everything and I never have used any kind of specialty scissors.
I buy the real cheapies from WalMart. They're located in the sewing department and cost about $2 or so. Kitchen scissors take a beating so when they get dull I just toss them and buy another pair.
I also keep my kitchen scissors in the easiest cabinet to reach in the kitchen so they're always handy. And, to make sure the kitchen scissors always remain handy in the kitchen, I buy several of the cheap scissors and locate them in the den, bathrooms, houseplant prep area and garage. My more expensive scissors I hide in the bottom of the sewing machine.
You can purchase kitchen scissors for meat (they unlock and come apart for cleaning). Other utility scissors should not be used for foods because they cannot be taken apart for cleaning.
Like most of the previous posts, I use the Walmart cheapies. I have a set in my knife block that I rarely use ~just because I forget they're in there. . . . but I do have one set with extra long
blades that is great for cutting pizza slices. If you
have 2 or 3, there will always be scissors handy when the others are in the dishwasher!
