If you were looking for a housekeeper what would you expect to pay?

Question:My best friend is going into surgery and she will be handing over her housekeeping business to me ... until she recovers which could be about a year. I simply want to provide excellent housekeeping however the rates seem to vary? How much do you pay or would you pay your housekeeper and does your housekeeper use your supplies or hers?

Answers:
I generally pay $125 every 2 weeks and she uses our supplies.
