When new, slides will come with a kit that will adapt that 1/4" plastic tubing up to the size of a connection for a standard garden hose. In addition to that, you would usually use a tee that will adapt into standard 1 1/2" white PVC and give you the fitting for the garden hose connector. (Which is a double-threaded nipple that will adapt 3/4" pipe thread to 3/4" garden hose thread.) All this should be available at pool supply stores; all you would need to do would be to find a place in your plumbing to install it. In the return line after the filter is the best place to do it. (So only clean, filtered water sprays onto the slide.) The last part of the connection (to the ladder itself) is often done with a good quality garden hose.)
Here's a link to the slide tubing kit (eBay)

The dual-threaded adapter fitting was a common Polaris part, and the tee and reducer fitting (1 1/2" to 3/4 pipe thread) you should be able to find at a plumbing supply or Home Depot (or one of those places...)
Alternately, some people just use that slide tubing kit with a standard garden hose. (It'll be adding water to the pool, but it will only be on while you're using the slide.) A little simpler that way, but not the preferred method...
