Bird watchers/experts?..Bir... chirping at night!?!?
Question:By night I mean MIDNIGHT!Is there a type of bird that commonly starts chirping at night or did this one miss the memo that birds start chirping right before the sun comes up?(I live in New England if that helps)He starts just after midnight and goes for several hours. It's definitely not an owl and makes several different calls.I have also heard the same noises in the day so I know it's not a joke.
I am really wondering if this is going to continue or if maybe it will be short lived?Any info would be appreciated!

They are probably Mockingbirds or Night n Gales. Both chirp at night trying to attract mates. I suppose one they find mates they may stop. Unless they are two timers!
Welcome to the world of the nightengale! We have them outside every summer.and they are LOUD. They'll hang around until the weather turns ugly, and there's not much you can humanely do about it. At least it's not a barking dog. Good luck!
We have birds that chirp here all night long here.( Ohio) I leave at 5 am to go to work and they are singing away.
turn off your outside light or put out a plastic owl just remember to bring it in during the day or you will never see a bird.
Wow -- nightingales! We don't have them where I live. Are they really annoying? I always heard that they were very pleasant sounding birds.
My answer would be Robins. Even though they don't start at midnight, they do chirp very loudly way before the sun comes up. They also chirp all day long.
