What can you do with a freezer that died...that also contains 100 lbs of rotten game meat?

Question:We were on vacation for a few months...and a huge storm hit and knocked our power out leaving us with a freezer full of rotten deer and turkey meat. We live in rural Montana and just want to drop the freezer with it's contents at a dump so we don't have to open up the nasty thing again. No dump will take it without us having to remove the frion (sp?) first. Can you burn the rotten meat?

Answers:
This was a big problem after Katrina, as people began to return. Duct tape the heck out of the thing, and call your sanitation department for a special pick-up. It is either that, or dig a very deep hole in the backyard and bury the rotten meat.

Yuk ! Better you than me .
So maybe loosen the freon line let it out take it back to the dump , and good riddance .

Good Luck
You can take the meat out and throw it in the garbage and then dump the freezer out in the woods somewhere. Or you could leave the meat in it and dump the freezer somewhere. Or you could check the phone book for local junk yards, they would probably take it without the meat inside.
