Beehive question?

Question:What do i do if there is a big beehive in my tree. does animal control take care of it or should i call 911 or the police?

Answers:
Try to find a bee keeper. None of the people you suggest are likely to have the skill and equipment to move the hive, tho they may know who would in your area, and if they are honey bees they are quite helpful actually vital for farmers so you don't want to kill them.

If they are not honey bees then you need an exterminator because they are likely to be a danger for you.

Once there has been a hive in a wall or a tree, it's hard to impossible to keep a new swarm from moving in. If a queen needs a place to move in, they will sense the wax and any left over honey so the sooner you take care of it the better.

Check with the University Extension office near you or your state office that licenses bee keepers they should be able to give you some names. Usually there is no charge.
