HELP! What's the best product for killing insects under the ground w/o harming grass, kids, or pets?

Question:Not sure what insect besides massive amts of ants! We have these weeds that the more you pull them, the more they spread. Ants seem to love them, but they're killing the grass. We have 2 kids and 4 dogs, so ant bait xcept at nite wouldn't work.

get one gallon of strong vinegar 20 percent or better add one oz. orange oil and a Stuart of dish soap spray on the weeds in the hot sun you may have to do this more than once keep spraying on the tender foliage as for the ants get an item called beneficial nematodes they come on a blue sponge that you soke in water put that water in a sprayer and spray your yard both are safe for kids and pets
