No Cherries or Plums?

Question:I live in Southern Ontario and have 3 large cherry trees (now about 20 ft tall) and other smaller cherry and plum trees planted years ago in the backyard.

I have not seen a single cherry or plum.

There does not seem to be any diseased leaves and I kept them watered when the weather is dry only. My neighbour says that there are no honey bees around (I removed a large nest last winter). But this does not explain why ten years - no cherries! I wondered if there are other factors and what can I do about it. My neighbours sour cherry trees have fruits!

What is happenning? When will the first cherry be available?

Answers:
I live in Southwestern On.
I planted a pear tree 15/16 years ago and last year was the first I had any fruit.I had 1 (one) pear and was happy as could be.This year I have about twenty on the tree.
I guess fruit trees take a long time to mature.
You should also spray them with fruit tree spray in the early spring and fall.Any nursery can tell you what to do.
It's not true about their being no bees although last year the honey farmers had a bad time because of a disease that got into their hives. The government is supposed to help them out.
However....I've still saw a lot of bees around so far this summer.
Hope this helps you out.
