Living in very wet s.w. Neb How do I get rid of all the grass hoppers that are thick in the yard?

Catch them and eat them!
keep the grass short so that the grass hoppers can't live in it.
Catch a couple, hang them up on the fence so the others can see... then they know you mean business and will stay away from your garden...

Probably impossible unless your neighbors or the whole area sprays for the critters. You will probably have to wait it out.
send them to me for my pet lizard. :-)
Wherever in the S.W,. are you? all the grasshoppers here in Deepest Devon have drowned. Even the slugs are struggling.
Why not just move to somewhere nice and warm and dry ,ie, Scotland :-)
