How do squirrels remember where they buried their nuts?

Question:

Answers:
That is an interesting subject. They don't. As they begin to burn more body fat, they actually grow more brain cells, so that the location, "comes back to them". If there is a mild winter, and they don't burn fat, then they have no clue where they hid them, and the nuts come up next spring as saplings. Cool Huh !

I THOUGHT THEY WERE ATTACHED?

Instinct if they are boy squirrels. If they are girl squirrels, they're just little squirrel sluts.
They only remember the area, and retrieving them by smell. They dont get all of them. Ive seen crows take them as they are berried the squirrel didn't seem to notice.
