Is there any reason not to fill in a basement window well?
Question:We are putting in a paver patio and there are 2 basement window wells in the area. We would like to fill in the window well and leave the window. Is there any reason to keep the window will if we have others on the other side of the house? PS It is not a finished basement.

Windows add light and may provide emergency escape if they are big enough. They probably also add value to your home. It's your house though, do what you want. (but how will you leave them, you certianly don't want dirt pressing against them)
you mean besides the fact that you will have dirt or rocks up against your window that will rot the frames and eventually break the glass... no other reasons i can think of...they sell well covers...
