Absolutely, positively, without a doubt - Terro - is the best product. (Years of checking this one out!)

eeeeew !!!
i hate ants and have the same problem. i have pets so i dont use the sprays. i use that ant gel sold as 'combat' brand. its a clear gel that comes in a fat syringe looking applicator. i put if just outside my doors, on the bottom of the outside trash barrel, and anywhere else my pets cant get too. the greedy ants come and grab the gel and its byebye ants.
1. Ants like water. If you could keep your house interior dry, such as keeping your sink area dry, no plants in the house (the soil is moist), etc. Also do not expose food. They would go to more comfortable place in time.
2. I like to use the sticky pads, and lay a bunch of them around the house (especially wall corners). In Asia, they sell a kind of small paper insect house, with a sticky pad. They are quite effective in catching all kinds of crawling insects, without the use of insecticide (which is not good for health). They are not available here, but the concept is the same. The process takes a bit of time, but they work for the long term.

I know the spiders are annoying but unless they're poisonous and pose an immediate threat to you, your family, or your pets, it's best to leave them alone. They are terrific at killing mosquitoes and other non-beneficial insects.
As far as keeping ants out of your house, I've always found that sprinkling good quality cinnamon on doorsteps and window sills is a good way to keep them out. You can even sprinkle it around the perimeter of your home. Smells good to us but ants generally won't cross over it, most likely because of the smell. It's a better alternative to poisons that can harm beneficial insects, not to mention you.
I hope this helps.
i know spiders dont like conkers but its not the time of year for them yet. You need to find the root of the problem, you obviously have an ants nest AND a spiders nest some where! and you need to find it, especially the spiders nest as they live all year round. you may need to get pest control in to del with it, as your having so many spiders in your house.
