HELP! Is there a natural way that you can get rid of cockroaches without having to use chemicals?

Question:HELP! We keep our house IMMACULATE and yet we are still seeing cockroaches! We keep all of our cereals,pastas,sugar,flour,sal... in plastic sealed tight containers! Since we don't have a dishwasher,I make sure that the dishes are ALWAYS cleaned up and dried and put away and yet we still see them!

I have a little girl so I really would prefer some natural methods of getting rid of these nasty things without having to fumigate our place. We have some really nasty neighbors that have lots of animals and live like pigs,so is that why we keep getting cockroaches, even though our nasty neighbors live two doors down from us?

I am so embarrassed to even having to ask a question like this on here because we are doing everything humanly possible when it comes to keeping our house immaculately clean, and yet I see one cockroach, and then two and three,SHEESH!

Thank you for any suggestions or ideas that you would be willing to share,I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart!! ;-)

Vacuuming can easily remove many roaches, but it raises dust. A special filter (called HEPA) is available for many brands of vacuums to help control dust. Most roaches will be killed by vacuuming, but it's a good idea to change the vacuum cleaner bag often and dispose of it in a double garbage bag.

We had the same problem since we lived in an apartment, I guess the best non-chemical thing you can do is seal all the cracks in your basement, roof, and walls, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. Just seal anywhere that you think might have cracks or holes. Cockroaches can also crawl through your water pipes so you should buy a cover barrier for your faucets. Basically just try seal up your place so cockroaches can't even get in.
There is no way. Cockroaches are the most resilient species on the face of the earth. Some say that the only living things to survive nuclear war will be Cockroaches.

If there was some wholesome easy way to get rid of them, RAID would not sell like it does.
The best way to catch them is the Roach Motels made by Raid. I like them because there's no poision inside just some glue, the bugs get stuck inside and them you toss them into the trash can. You need to keep buying new ones every few months.
Have you tried cleaning out your yard?

Most roaches thrive in grassy yards and gardens, even if they are well maitained. During the night (or day), the critters crawl up into your house vents, cracks or any adventageous openings. Try using insect killers (powders or pellet baits) on your grass and garden. I know it's not all-natural but at least you're not putting chemicals inside your house. Also keep your grass and garden mulches tidy and trimmed. Putting a "barrier" outside your home can keep them from coming in.

Good Luck.
