Is there a all natural house hold cleaner?
Question:Can I make my own house cleaner? I would love to find something to clean the toilets, i hate the chemicals I'm pouring into the water supply. Is there anything homemade and natural that can kill bacteria around the house?
Answers:
good old vinegar! it cleans, disinfects and deoderizes and can be used to clean any hard surface ( lysol, pinesol, toliet bowl cleaner etc replacement). if you need something abrasive (to replace scrubbing powder) use with baking soda. a mixture of baking soda and vinegar will also act like drano! olive oil can be used instead of pledge and lemon juice cleans and leaves a nice smell!
Remember, even "natural" things are made of chemicals!
Try vinegar.
I don't know about homemade cleaners, but the Whole Foods by me sells a few brands of "natural" cleaning products - Ecover, Seventh Generation, and Mrs. Meyers. There's also the Method brand sold at Target, which is supposed to be biodegradable and non-toxic. I've used all of these brands and they work well. I really like the Ecover toilet bowl cleaner.
