I want hop plants out of my yard permanently! How do I get rid of them?

First dig them up as much as you can then cover the area + around 4 feet beyond with agricultural paper and cover with a few inches of soil and leave it for 3 years this should take care of the problem. I don't think Roundup will work as it has an extensive and a DEEP rhyzome system. I'm sorry to see them go. I love hops,
