How do I get rid of the centipedes that keep finding their way into my house?

Question:I've lived here a little over a month now, and I keep running into centepedes once in a while. I just found one in the sink : P Is there any kind of poison or anything I can put out to get rid of the nasty creatures?

Answers:
Boric Acid is the "secret ingredient" in so many commercial treatments for insect control. Boric acid (100%) powder is odorless and nonstaining. Kills roaches, termites, fireants, palmetto bugs, ticks, bedbugs, fleas, boxelder bugs, carpet beetles, centipedes, crickets, earwigs, grasshoppers, millipedes, scorpions, slugs water bugs, and many many more creepy crawly insects.

I freak out about my kids and poison so I'm super careful where I put the stuff. Usually goes around the outdoors and behind appliances on the floor so the air conditioner doesn't stir it up in the air.

its kinda hard to find sometimes. I found a huge bottle at my local grocery store for three bucks.

Sorry, tried to reply through email but it didn't work. so here goes.

nope! don't clean the house with it. Just pull the fridge out and pour a strip down for them to walk through. I've heard that the boric acid is harmless against adults but lethal for kids. Not sure about it but I know it kills bugs. I live in apartments in Arizona. Basically like living in Florida with the palms and roaches. I don't have any roaches and rarely even find a scorpion in the house.
