Whats the going rate ( bricklayers labour ) per m2 for facing brickwork on a new house?

Question:

Answers:
the going rate for laying bricks on price work is about £350 per 1,000 bricks and there are 60 bricks to a meter square

day rate is about £100 -150 per day for a bricklayer and £ 80 - £ 100 for a labourer depending what part of the country you live

if its a 1 and 1 gang then the bricklayer will earn a lot more than the labourer

if its a 2 and 1 gang (2 bricklayers and one labourer/hod carrier) then its normally an equal split on the money unless they have an agreement between themselves

the same would apply if its a 4 and 2 gang (4 bricklayers and 2 labourers/hod carriers)

you can get cheaper but don't forget if you pay peanuts you get monkeys :)

hope this helps

thanks
