How do you get rid of ear wig bugs in the home?

Question:I live in Michigan in a home with a basement. My house has recently been under attack by these varmits! Aside from an exterminator any ideas?

Answers:
Our hardware store sells earwig bait, sprinkle a three foot wide strip of it around the outside of the house. Clean up all food sources for them in the basement and vacuum them all up. Try to avoid using cehmicals inside the house.
