Answers:
get a product called diatomaceous earth not the kind for swimming pools put some in their path and or area its safe for you and your pets but will kill the roaches it gets in their joints

Clean your home thoroughly and throw out trash. don't have clutter and keep under sinks etc dry.if they are coming from a neighbor there isn't much you can do other than clean door jambs and windowsills with alum.
Get some lizards and salamanders!
Man has been trying to do that for about a million years.
You might control them.
Mix boric acid powder with some flour dough, roll into small balls and place in out of way spots.
Move
Besides the above answers, try bug-bomb couple times a year and follow directions. My dad used boric acid in his apt. and swore by it. You have to keep it away from pets and children. My son uses roach traps in his apt. Moving doesn't help as they will move with you! Cleanliness is the key to really keeping them down in numbers. A refuse hauler told me once to make sure you keep pop cans in a dark-colored trash bag as empties attract roaches too! Good luck!
