I have a pool, there are small (almost microscopic) flies gathering where the wall and water meet, solution?

Question:My pool is fairly large (50k Gal) and generally clean. Recently it appears there are colonies of small flies gathering and living at the edge of the water and wall around the perimeter of the pool. The flies jump from the water surface to the wall and back. I want to take care of the problem before it takes over my pool. Any help is appreciated!

Answers:
Maintain higher chlorine levels of 3-5ppm and they will disappear. High chlorine levels deter many critters from the pool (bees, frogs, flies, moths, etc) and are still perfectly safe for swimmers and clothing.

they wont take over ur pool.they are harmless.i know cus i swim with them everyday
I have the same thing in my pool. The neighbors' got the same problem too. I'm in the tampa bay area , and they started about 3 days ago after a tropical storm passed through. Tried skimming the top but didn't help much. When asking around here, people have said it's not that uncommon, they are not harmful and they will tend to go away on their own. Sure hope so!
