How much does it cost to have a in ground pool built?
Question:
Answers:
The cost will vary greatly depending on where you live. Some places are easier to dig than others. You can call a local pool company and ask if they give estimates. That'd be your best bet.
A friend of mine just got an estimate on a basic 10x20 no frills pool. She was quoted $28,000 just for the pool itself. That's the digging, concrete work, etc. This price did NOT include the necessary electricians who would be installing the filtering system, this this NOT include the taking down of the fence and putting it back up, this did NOT include the ground protection of your neighbors yard, to save you from lawsuits and land damage, this did NOT include the first water bill or chemicals needed, etc. just to fill the pool. She would then need to purchase equipment and seines, pool covers, etc. She lives in Panama City where everyone else but her has a pool.
Much luck and happy swimming!
In Austin they start about $50k because of all the huge limestone rocks that must be excavated. In other parts of the country they start about $25k. It depends on the size, type of pool, Gunite, tile, and all the upgrades.
