Slugs. Can't get rid of them?
Question:When I come home at night I come home to slimy outdoor friend - or for those of you who has seen Flushed Away - SLUGS!! They were cute on the movie singing but I don't want them in my house. How do they even get in here? What can I do to get rid of them!! I usually pick them up (with a napkin of course) and flush them away.
Thanks for all your help.

A few years ago I moved into a new residence and faced this same problem. Slugs were everywhere I didn't want them to be!
Your primary options are: 1) use slug bait (drown them in beer, chemical pellets from your local garden/hardware store, whatever) or 2) pour table salt over each slug you see, or 3) physically remove them.
And, I absolutely REFUSED to use slug bait, because I don't believe it adding poisons to my soil.
So, what I did was spend two solid weeks going outside every evening with my flashligt collecting ALL the slugs I could find and put them in a 5 gallon bucket. Then I took the bucket to a location far far away.
I achieved GREAT results by doing this, because I effectively removed the "breeding stock" of slugs from my garden and STILL to this day have not seen them return in the same numbers they were when I moved in.
Good luck!
Kitchen salt gets rid of slugs and snails.
lay out saucers of beer around the outside of your house. A GUARANTEED FIX.
There should be a product made by Bengal and I also heard salt kills them.
salt outside doors and ducts.eco freindly cheap and effective.
Sprinkle salt its the best way and mind you its also pretty cheap
Since a slug is basically a snail without a shell, try putting out a pie plate filled with beer (if you are younger than 21, have an adult do this). Slugs and snails love beer, but beer doesn't love them; the snails and slugs will drink the beer, then either die in the beer or not long after.
