How do I treat ant infestation?

Question:we have had lots of ants getting into the house, and I believe they are coming from the outside. What could we do without having to use heavy poisons?

Terro. Use the liquid inside, they will come in and get it, and take it back to the nest, and kills the whole nest. But now, Terro has a powder that you can sprinkle outside around the nest, if you know where it is. Probably around a step, or porch.
