Question:

Answers:
Put a squirt of bleach into the water, not to much though! I know this sounds crazy but it actually does work.

put an asprin in the water and top up with lemonade
cut them every couple of days (somewhere on the stem) change the water they are kept in and put some sugar in the new water! thats about the best you can do
Putting a soluble aspirin in the water can often work to prolong the life of cut flowers. Also, instead of just topping the water up, change it completely and cut about an inch off the bottom of the stems. Make sure there are no leaves, etc, under the water in the vase.
the last time I bought cut sunflowers for an arrangement in a vase-the flower
"lady" told me to put them in warm water.
