Bell Pepper Question?

Question:So, I decided to plant a garden this year, and it is doing great, however, my parents bell pepper plant isn't doing so great, it is huge, and a beautiful plant, but when it starts to develop a bud, it self aborts, the plant itself is about 4 foot tall, and my little 2 foot plant has peppers all over it, I did notice one of my buds self abort at the beginning of the season, but to this point has more then produced, so; What is causing the bud to self abort?

Answers:
it is calleed "blossom drop" too much water will do this..or you are spraying too much fettilizer on it with heavy nitrogen concentrate..nitrogen works on the foilage..when it comes time to bloom you need a fertilzer real low in nitrogen and high in phospherous..which aides the blooms and fruits
