Is there a Moth Proof Spray, for carpets that already are infested? I don't want to discard it, I need it.

Question:It has been stored for 18 months and I've just rolled it out in my new house only to find the golden dead moths there. I am afraid of infesting the rest of the silk or woolen carpets. Help!

You really should throw it away!...But if you really need it i suppose you should try washing it with flea and tick shampoo (for animals) if its in good condition it shouldnt hurt it. Then you should spray it down with some flea and tick spray!.and mabey stem clean it dry.Good luck...Cassie

Oh dear.

I don't know that this will work, but you could try spreading your carpet with Borax, then vacuuming it. That's what I do for fleas anyway. And then shampoo it, if your carpet will stand up to it.

Good luck!
try spreading the carpet and pour hot water all over it to kill some fleas before giving it a good shampooing to loosen dirts and moths, fleas, etc.
