Can anyone recommend a small air conditioning unit?

Question:Hi all. I have an apartment with no AC. My bedroom faces southwest, and is the only part of the partment that gets to hot in the summer. It is against the apartment complex's policy to have anything stick out the window - are there any units that will fit in the windowsill, but not stick outside the window? Any other units I can just plug into the wall?

You can get a portable free-standing unit that has pipes going out the window, but they are rather costly.

An economic cooler is an evaporative cooler. Try eBay.
