Bonsai help! The moss on my serrissa looks sick...?

Question:I keep the serrissa near a nice sunny window in the kitchen and mist it daily - watering about 2 times a week. Over the past week the moss covering the roots has turned dark grey/ black and looks almost like its molding and breaking apart. Is there anything I can do or should I just replace the moss? and if so , how do I do that - just get some from my backyard and stick it in there?

Thanks!

Answers:
It sounds like over watering through the misting. Remove the moss entirely, scrape off the top layer of soil, if it smells funky repot with fresh soil, spray with and soak the soil with a fungicide. And if possible place the plant outside in a shady location. For more info you can go to the forums at BonsaiSite.com and ask the pro's what else to do.
