Would anyone care if I cut down the tree in the street blocking the sun in my garden?
Question:and in autumn the leaves only litter up the place
Answers:
I'm sure someone would care and it might even be illegal in your area to do so. You had better check with the municipality before doing it. You could try sawing it in half and leave it for a few days and hope the neighbours think lightning struck it.
check the local codes on such things, u mite need a permit and if you dont get one the finds could be alot
yaska give me gud idea-i elaborate. cut it in half, narl it up a bit, and spray paint black were you did the cut. but make sure you do it before/after a storm
If the tree is on city property you cannot touch it unless city Hall give you permission , if you decide to do this on your own you will get fined . Phone city Hall and tell them that you are having problems ,they will send someone to trim some branches off the tree.
Remember that trees are good for the environments they give us oxygen and clean the air!
You can't cut down a tree unless it is on your property. If it is on the street; it belongs to the city or state.
You could get into big trouble.
Move your garden. It is easier and cheaper.
I would think the local Council would, that's classed as vandalism and attracts a large fine! I'd check with them first, if I was you. Put the saw down and have a beer! lol. Have a good day.
if it is on your property then you may do so but always just with your city first..i know like in places like fl or you cut down the trees without prior persmission from the city..if it is on someone else property or you are renting..better get premission first or you could be sued
This is a question that can have two sides. It's in front of your house, so why would someone else care. But if the trees line the street, people might want to keep it to make it look good. I'm not sure, but will the city let you, or is it yours? The neighbors might not like it, but odds are they wouldn't say anything to you since it is not in front of their yard. I hope this helps. P.S. (Have you thought about just moving the garden)?
I care.
i know in our town the borough owns the trees between the sidewalk and the curb. if you tell them you will pay for it and it will save them money down the road , they may go for it.
You have a tree growing in the street? Wow, that is unusual!
Check with the city, town and find out if they have an easement and the tree is planted in it. If so, you cannot cut down the tree.
