Having problems with slugs getting indoors can anyone give advice?
Question:

Put salt along the bottom of the doorway.
Yeap! Salt
leave the beer outside and shut the door... they like beer..
Also a trail of salt along my patio door which is where they are getting in.
I have been going out after dark with a torch and collecting all the slugs I can find (pick them up in toilet paper) then flushing them down the loo.
If they already indoors you have a greater problem.
Should they be attempting to get indoors, they do not like salt
so use it as a barrier at your threshhold entrance.( the doorstep).
To catch the blighters that are indoors already, they love beer so put saucers of beer around the area they have infested and in the morning you should have sauces full of drunk drowned slugs.
slugs used to come in the kitchen where i used to live!! only at night tho!! make sure you haven't got a leak anywhere, we found out our washing machine was and there was a great big hole in the floor underneath ! there was loads down there!! but then use salt around the door and windows!x
You need to trace where they are coming in from and try and block the hole! Also my mum told me to buy a spray that was used for killing spiders and creepy crawleys and spray that around where they came in (i can't remember now what it was called, but anything similar at the hardware dept)- but it did work. But you really need to try and figure out where they get in and deal with that.
ROCK SALT ALONG THE DOORWAYS.
you should be able to tell where they have been because of the silver trail they leave, so at night before you go to bed put down some of the small blue slug pellets that you can buy from any good garden centre, they will definitely work and are easily cleaned up in a morning.
When you married him it should have been understood he was to sleep in car or shed! Divorce is only way out, haha
