I suggest you move to any of the following neighborhoods in queens: Astoria, Woodside, Sunnyside. They are beautiful, and safe neighborhoods with multicultural residents: european, hispanic, asian immigrants and americans. The rents are not that high, and they are close to manhattan, and it would take you about 30 minutes to get to mid manhattan by train.
If you want to live in manhattan, try east harlem. The area is getting better, new buildings are being constructed. I suggest you look south of 116th street from lexington to 1st avenue. The rents are not so high there and the area is in better quality than say the west side in midtown where rents for a studio are up to 2,000 dollars and its kind of crowded.
Good luck! I don't believe you could rent a parking space for that amount, not in NYC.
ha not gonna happen buddy.
my only suggestion is renting a furbished/unfurbished room. they don't run too much.
check out craigslist under apts/housing for available spaces.
Well...everything is so dang expensive up there...why even bother??
