Why has my Gorenje fridge freezer has stopped working?

Question:Yesterday i came home to a floor full of water my freezer was defrosting, i thought the door might have been open slightly so i shut it hours later i came to it and discovered the whole thing wasnt working so it probebly wasnt the door.The light in the top fridge compartment is on but when switched on there is no cold coming out and it makes a strange noise.

Im a bit gutted only had it 1 yr and 4 months it ran out of warranty with comet 4 months ago and cost us £300 is it worth getting someone out to see to it? Or is it buggered? and we'll need a new one?

It might be something simple. so its worth getting someone out to check it. that way hopefully it'll cost you a lot less than a new one. Good Luck!
