If you have roaches in your apartment, how can you avoid taking them with you when you move out?

We had the same problem. We got into a 6 month lease that should have been a beautiful apartment right next door to a friend and they did a bate an switch and when we showed up to sign the lease suddenly the apartment we had already had utilityies turned on in was not ready(and of course we had already moved out of our old place) the first night as you can guess the creepy kritters started coming out of the walls and never stoped to the day we moved out with spraying every week. But we did manage to leave them behind. but it was not an easy process.
First we bombed the apartment we were leaving with a bomb we had never used before. Then we rented a U-haul truck and loaded everything in the truck. As we were loading we took everything apart. And yes that means taking the back off the microwave and the bottom off the blender ect. even the bottom liner of the sofa and vacuumed it very carefuly to make sure there were no eggs. Then once in the truck we placed another roach bomb. Again a different brand than we had used the first time so it had a different poison as roaches adapt if you just keep using the same poison.

In the new place before we moved in we got some of the roach gel and put it in all the cupboard cracks just in case one somehow got through. But thankfully we never saw one again. It took a lot of work but it was worth it to be bug free,

Just a note I was told years ago about the borax and had bowls of it in every cupboard in the old apartment and it did no good. May have killed a few but not enough to make a difference.

you never win in the roach war, you just do a little better each time. good luck.
Thats going to be hard because there are roach eggs in every electronic you got. So you got to get something that kills both eggs and the roaches.
When you are packing your boxes put some moth balls into them, apparently the smell of the mothballs keeps the roaches out of the boxes.
Sit down and have a heart to heart talk with them before you leave. Let them know it's just not working out.

just google it type in how to get rid of roaches or getting rid of roaches
To get rid of roaches, sprinkle powdered borax around he baseboards, cabinets, behind the stove and refrigerator. The roaches ingest the borax and it dries them from the inside out. The unhatched eggs will have to be treated when they hatch, but you can get rid of them within 3-4 generations. As far as moving, don't pack anything that hasn't been sprinkled with borax and treat your new place before you move in. Do not pack any food from the cupboards or pantry.
