Spider problem..?
Question:is there a way to kill spiders 'by collection', i know that you can get rid of slugs by making beer traps with no need to chase them round the garden.
is there any way spiders can be killed in a similar way? im fed up of hunting them down with a hoover!!

Ok, kill, capture, maim, etc for the rest of this Summer, but when it gets to Autumn I have a surefire way of preventing them even coming into your home. Collect conkers, put one in the corner of every room, just on the floor, and this actually deters spiders completely. I was so cynical when someone told me about that, but as I'm petrified of spiders I gave it a try. And I haven't had one spider in my house since, whereas before we were invaded on a regular basis. I promise this is not tongue-in-cheek - I was amazed but it really does do the trick.

Use sticky traps. Put them in the corners of your rooms and you'll be amazed at all of the spiders you'll catch. I use the sticky traps that are designed for mice or spiders.Happy hunting!
get a cat, mine is a spider bounty hunter he kills them and i feed him with prawns and cream

i agree...cats make the bast spider hunters ever! sticky traps make me sick...how utterly cruel...especially for mice.sick!

Hey Victoria. The spiders aren't your problem here, they're on your side since they have no interest in your garden, but are only after the same pests you are. However, if you simply just want them out of the garden because you don't want 'em crawling on you while you weeding. Then, the Hoover is about the only option. Spiders don't congregate because they're predators, and need to spread out. I like the Hoover thing - noisy, but no chemicals.
